92 Dosen dan Mahasiswa dari berbagai negara hadiri seminar internasional yang dilaksanakan oleh Universitas Islam Kalimantan (Uniska) MAB, Senin (10/9) di Hotel Tree Park Banjarmasin.
Adapun acara yang mengusung tema ‘Borneo Internasional Conference on Education End Sosial Sciences’ itu, Menurut Rektor Uniska, Abdul Malik, merupakan acara pertama yang digarap Uniska di level Internasional dari FKIP Uniska. Diharapkannya, ini bisa menjadi dampak meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan akreditasi Uniska kedepannya.
“Ini juga saya harapkan menjadi dorongan agar seminar internasional bisa digarap oleh Fakultas lainnya, agar kualitas dan produk Uniska semakin dipercaya masyarakat hingga masyarakat mancanegara,” katanya setelah pembukaan.
Ia melanjutkan, kegiatan mendatangkan empat narasumber Profesor yakni dari Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Malaysia, Nanyang Teknologi dari University Singapura, Universitas Bina Nusantara Indonesia, Roozbeh Babolian dan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Yaya Sukjaya.
Itu juga diharapkannya bisa kembali dilaksanakan dengan skala yang lebih besar lagi, artinya lebih banyak lagi dihadiri berbagai negara dan pesertanya semakin banyak.
“Mudahan tahun berikutnya bisa banyak lagi dan bisa lebih banyak lagi dihadiri peserta dari mancanegara,” kata orang nomer satu di Uniska ini yang didampingi Wakil Rektor 1, Dr Jarkawi.
Acara ini selanjutnya, ia menambahkan, bisa ditawarkan kepada negara tetangga yang sejauh ini sudah menjalin kerjasama seperti Malaysia dan Singapura.
Ketua Yayasan Uniska Banjarmasin, Gusti Irhamni, mengatakan, dengan terlaksananya acara berskala Internasional itu, artinya dalam jangka waktu 5 tahun kedepan apabila rutin dilaksanakan, Uniska sudah tidak bermain dilevel lokal lagi, namun level internasional dari segi pendidikannya.
